Stage Two : Darkfire Mission
Darkfire Castle is complete sigh. Now that was a job and a half was it a labour of love or am I simply mad?? Who knows?
I finally decided to try and build Darkfire castle using several lots, 8 in total.
Building very carefully I tried to make it look as unified as possible, mechanically the castle had to be made of separate buildings however I tried bring them together as much as possible.
My main method of linking was these beautiful fences, creating corridors linking the various buildings. Granted these corridors are classed as outdoors but as most of them lead no-where ( ie to other lots ) its not a major issue.
For the moment these lots are just shell’s no work has been done on the inside ill create rooms and decorate them as and when I move people in.
Of the 8 lots the main entrance is a community lot, ill put a fountain, pond etc in this lot as somewhere pretty my Sims can visit.
I have 4 noble houses, on each of the 4 corners of the lot, the 2 foremost ones are the biggest, as they contain 2 buildings, one for my royal family and one for my primary noble house.
Along with those I have 2 servants quarters in the middle of each wing, one for the unmarried female servants and one for the Steward and his family, which will probabally, include the housekeeper.
Lastly in the centre at the back I have the barracks where ill send all my unmarried men. I’ve got small empty lots skirting the castle these are for the first of my merchant / peasant homes. Onward to stage 3.
