    • Kids : Dawn (4 years old ),

    • Adin (4 years old) ,

    • Emma (1 year old)

  • Live in Servants:

    • Phoenix Johnson (16 years old)

    • Heather Goldman (17 years old)

  • Small Estate Tax: $3,000 per day to the king.

  • Tax’s in : $2,200

Ok the first of the noble houses to be played this round my biggest concern for the Shaw family is financial; they control a small estate so there taxes to the king are reasonably low.

The tax rate charged by the king is determined by the size of the estate, my neighbourhood is a custom made one and I have it separated into “small” and “medium” estates.

If any of the noble family’s expand enough to need a large estate ill create them a “shopping district” of their own, as I’ve said before I imagine Grimstead as a big place however in the early years the families are fairly huddled together.

The Shaw estate is fairly new only being created when Lucy had Dawn, so as yet it hasn’t expanded much, they started with a couple of run down building but for the most part they are pretty much building houses as an when people need them.

At the moment the Shaws only have two families Hayden and Lucy Carpenter, they did have Orion and Narrisa until recently but Orion got moved up the to royal estate after saving Thomas’s life.

Because they have so few families and with none the immediate future ( ie none of the families have 2nd boy’s who will require a separate house ) there’s a good chance I’ll give most of the “Darkfire” leftovers to Lucy when I dissolve Tarik’s estate.

Lucy gain’s $2,200 a day from the tax’s on her land, with 3,000 a day leaving this leaves her at a slight loss, however she’d got two working dogs who are both at the top of their career which make up the balance, she’s not rolling in money like some of the lords but she’s surviving and that’s all that matters.

The Shaw’s have 2 live in staff, the first Heather is Lucy’s maid / cook etc who’s been with the family since Dawn was born, and Phoenix who is the butler and steward in training who was added after the death of Vasyl.

Most of my noble family’s only have one servant but I decided that I could afford to have two in this house after Vasyl’s death especially since Lucy isn’t planning on re-marrying.

A play my servants as characters as much as any other character, its quite possible they will marry and move on if my storyline moves in that direction. As a whole I try and get them to do as much of the manual labour around the house as possible though to keep the feeling that they are the servants and even have certain rooms locked to them.

Lucy’s a romance sim, Vasyl used to keep her over active ACR in check, however with him gone things could get interesting with her this round, with no man on tap she’s liable to pick up anyone – I hope Phoenix has his chastity knickers on.

However if i check ACR it seems she currently has her eye’s on Tarik, The question is does he “like” her and will his “niceness” and the fact that he’s married to Jasmine keep him at home where he belongs?

ACR actually takes all that into account some sims are cheaters and some arn’t, im not sure of the exact mechanic’s i know there relation to thier current spouse is taken into account, as is thier niceness and asperation.
