Lucy Carpenter was the wife of Sigan mother of Orion, she has 2 other children from her marriage to Sigan Faron and Ebony.
While she was married to sigan the couple where doing really well for themselves, the had a nice big house and where able to get both of their children into private school, with plans to send Faron to University as soon as he was grown.
However the Death Calc picked on poor Sigan and poor Lucy’s dreams lay in shatters, Lucy couldn’t support the house and school fee’s alone, i tried getting a couple of cats as i allow merchants and up to give their animals pet jobs however it still wasn’t enough and i didn’t really want to give up on the childrens private education.
So doing what many women did back then to help support themselves she re-married, a Grimstead solider and townie called Aiden Jones. I always set storys aside for familys even those that aren’t part of my main plots, i know whats going on with them even if you guys don’t.
Aiden and Lucy’s marriage is one of convenience, Aiden an aging solider realized he needed a wife if he stood any chance of having a son and Lucy volunteered on the condition he help her make sure Sigans son gets to university lying about her age so not to put him off.
Lucy’s 39 so the chances of getting pregnant where slim, also she’s a popularity sim who aren’t that keen on having big familys in the first place, but somehow the ACR gods favored her and she got pregnant last year.
I have been really careful with Lucy this round, knowing full well that if she was to miscarry the chances of her getting pregnant again are fairly slim and eventually she gave birth …. to a girl.. sigh .. oh well i called the baby Gwen and it looks like Lucy’s going to be trying again i just hope it doesn’t take too long for her to get pregnant again its also worth noting i add’ed +2 to Lucy’s sickness record on my death calc for the birth of little Gwen rather than the usual +1 due to her age.
