A while ago i was explaining how monique’s payment mod although great for sorting out your tax’s does have the undesired effect of paying your sims twice, once while playing the payee and once while playing the receiver and how this meant i was having to turn off the mod every time i played my nobles so the peasants didn’t end up paying twice.

In the post someone commented asking why i didn’t just set my tax’s to 50% so that when they paid both it would add up to the full amount… my initial reaction to this was … DOH!!!!!!!!!!

In short I’d never thought of it, because i was halfway though the round i didn’t want to change anything else my poor brain get confused and i wouldn’t know where i was up to, but now im just starting the new round I’ve done just that… for Aaron I’ve set the tax’s to just $600 that way when the mod pay’s out on both households turn it will add up to the right amount.

However in doing this im also aware i need to have my sims “save” for their end of year tax’s so to speak, so that when i come around to the household again they aren’t in debt. The mod allows debt so the noble will still get paid on time and ill just have to work out how to pay the behind payments later, the mod also allows “loan’s with interest” so perhaps thats a way of sorting out those family’s that run out of money and go into debt.

Either way it shouldn’t be hard to work out … $1200/2 = $600 per day while im on the lot. + 600 X 20days = $12,000 so i need to make sure the sims have $12,000 at the end of the round ready for the payments that will be made when im playing the hamduns.

Aaron and Aurora are doing pretty well they have the triplets to keep them busy, having sadly lost their 4th child last round. This is the first round the new farm has really gotten established and its doing pretty well im easily able to pay the tax;s and save the $12,000 needed for the end of year taxs (what im calling the off lot payments), in addition to this they raise the fund’s for 3 apple tree’s that may not sound much but its a good leap in the right direction. All in all the family’s doing well.
