I began the round still considering the Darkfire situation, Fransis is 15 now an acceptable age to consider marryable, and although my original plan to marry him off to Katherine Beav fell flat on it’s face when he showed no interest in her what so ever (negative chemistry) i had seen light when he instead took an interest in Kendra Harper.

Admittedly not a perfect solution as this then leaves darkfire mountains with 3 unmarriable teens who are all related members of the Beav family. Begrudging i decided to follow this alternative, thinking to move Fransis to the servant quarters of Darkfire castle as servant.

However a whim somewhat changed this plan, i got Fransis to drink the renuyu potion and changed his turn on from brown hair to black as thats what Kendra has and thought it would help the pair along on their path to marriage.

All was well until two days into the round Katherine Beav makes an unexpected house call, id introduced the pair that they where friends so didn’t think twice about it. while i was busy with the rest of the household i suddenly spotted ….

Surprisingly the change in Fransis’s turn on’s had suddenly turned negative chemistry into 2 bolt chemistry … tbh i didn’t know one little change could have such a drastic effect and i would have done it ages ago if id known.

A quick log into the Beav household shows that Katherine had always had a bolt for Fransis but until now having only played the relationship from the Gawen household I’d never noticed. So the Fransis and Katherine relationship is back on track, leaving Kendra open for one of the other Beav boy’s.

However now i new problem has arisen, the house i put Kaiden in on the move to Darkfire mountains is a bit small for 2 couples especially as the are both well within child rearing years. In fact moving Katherine in with make the house reach the sim limit and it going to by many many years before any of the other children are old enough to leave home.

An option is to allow Fransis leave home, perhaps he could join the army and move into the servants quarters of the castle, however this will delay any marriage plans by a few years as he’d have to reach officer status before being entitled to a house to raise a family.

Another option is to have Fransis marry Katherine now, and move out of the family home, however i dont have much money on either family. This isn’t exactly Traditional but the Gawens where never the most traditional of family’s anyway.

Katherine’s dowry is likely to be pretty pathetic, and I can’t afford for Kaiden to give much to Fransis so the pair are going to start off totally flat broke. Infact so bad im likely to have to start their life together by taking out a loan from Tarik which is pretty bad as they are technically merchant class… but id not expected to be able to marry either up this round so its taken me by suprise abit and i’d not really planned for their future.

Well this is the option ive decided upon… playing both familys to the end of the round i marry the pair on the last day and move them out, moving them into what was planned as a peasant hut as they can’t afford better. However they are now ready to play for next round, where they can begin the slow climb out of debt.
