Ok im currently trying to save up some money on this lot so i can move Father Mathew out and across to the Beaumont Estate, leaving the church here on the Hamdun estate to be run by the Mathew Talon a Orphan who has been living with him and has trained in the ways of a priest.
However the “Church” Lot i want to buy on the Beaumont Estate is $40,000 leaving him short.
Hmmmm… plans generally are being a bit of a problem, last round i had a genius plan that involved marrying the old priest to the destitute Neve Gardener, he’s an elder now and i figured as my last gen 1 sim to not have passed his gene’s along to further generations perhaps it was time he became a father of a different sort.
However … *Sigh* he can’t afford the church lot, AND having built the church for visuals quite some time ago i realize now that the inside is not big enough to raise a family unless you do away with the “church” element of the building, it was very much designed with a Single priest in mind, no only that but Neve’s coming along with a fair amount of baggage (3 kids and 4th on the way) and it’s simply NOT going to work.
So what do i do??
Do i a) forget the idea of neve and father Mathew marrying sort neve out independently, and spend the next few years with Father Mathew staying on the Hamdun lot while he saves to buy the Beaumont church??
Or b) Forget the Beaumont church, continuing to use it for visuals and have father Mathew and Neve live “off the church grounds” and storyline wise have Father Mathew run the church while living else where??
Option b) seems to be the most viable option at this point but im not very happy about it, i’d made the Beaumont Church to be lived in by the priest, however I’ve also settled into the idea of having Neve and Father Mathew together.
Unfortunately Father Mathew isn’t exactly rolling in money so he’ll be taking a minamul amount across the the Beaumont estate with him i just hope that his money plus Neve’s pathetic sum will get them something reasonable to live in, as in this case Valdemar Beaumont doesn’t have any money to help the priest set up.
So at this point i move out Father Mathew …. Right at the start of the round so i can play him with Neve this round.
Because i have the no20khandout hack which means that sims moving out don’t get the normal $20k household startup funds, he takes 1/3rd of the current household funds which is just $5,000, and i use Money order to send him another $10,000 so that he and Neve don’t start completely flat broke.
Leaving the Church in the hands of Orphaned Brother Mathew and his younger Brother Sander (sorry for the name confusion … too many Mathews i didn’t plan things to well haha) Anyway with the new Tithing in place the church plod along very nicely with nothing very interesting to report.
