Ok firstly i think its important to note something, i keep meaning to mention but don’t.

Because of the way the “taxation mode” works it takes money from the payee on both the payee’s turn and the receiver turn, which is why i cut all tax’s in half, which means the payee pays the right amount.

However the “School Fee” Payments, and Military payments are made to the grimreaper hence taking money out of the economy, because the grimreaper isn’t a playable he doesn’t have a turn therefore these payments are only made on the payee’s turn.

Anyway moving on…. The Vaux estate.

Financially the Vaux’s are Struggling, they have no business’s, Orrick retired this year and Orrick has committed himself to sending the Girls to very expensive Weekly boarder (charm school hehe).

These things coupled with the fact that he pays the higher rate of taxes to the king because he has one of the kingdoms larger estates. Means in short he has more going out than he has coming in right now.

So with this in mind we look at the options, i could drop Nicoles and Orricks two daughter education down to simple private school, however storyline wise i feel Orrick would fight to keep them there. Wanting the children he had with Nicole to be given every opportunity the children he had with Lynette had, including a University education.

The other option involves a very unpleasant Tax increase across his estate, hopefully bringing in more money for the family, unfortunately this is likely to hurt the familys it involves, at the moment he and Lucy Shaw have the join lowest taxes of all the estates meaning their population are healthy, happy and booming, so i do feel they can afford to raise it slightly so that what i plan to do, So at the beginning of next round all familys will suffer a 1% tax increase across the board however i expect it would be with a heavy heart.
