Behind the scenes at Grimstead

Ok so first things first, Father Mathew will be marrying the forlorn Neve this round, who last round had to resort to prostitution last round just to survive. She is currently pregnant to his child however neither of them will realise it’s his because she was a whore at the time and frankly as far as they are concerned it could be anyones.

Marrying the priest is abit of a marriage of convience storyline wise for Neve, as he’s an elder while she’s just 21, however she’s a nice girl really and isn’t in it for anything other the survival and will be probably be faithful to the older priest. The start of this round saw me building them a small cottage on the Beaumont estate, close to the local church.

Because the priest is not “living” in the church the lords/kings tithes will head into the house and be immediatly spent on inventory items allowing it to be “saved” for setting up new parishes on other estates, and will hopefully also including getting a priest who can actually live in the church on the Beaumont estate.

I am sort of considering this Father Mathews retirement, he’s served Grimstead for 37 years, now its time for him to have a family of his own and settle down, while taking a less active role in the service of his lord.

This means however they will be living off what his custom career of priest will bring in, along with pets jobs and anything Neve can scramble up. However with 3 babys in the house and another on the way i anticipate her being a full time housewife.

This all taken into account i don’t anticipate the family ever being very rich, however one blessing is that as a member of the clergy he and his family are exempt from Tax’s so life, fingers crossed should be manageable.

Ok feel better now … i name the new little angels Sorcha, Wilona and Faina all three Girls… i can safely say now that Neve IS a full time mother.

I would normally say that this would be the perfect time for a call for birth control however i suspect that Father Mathew wouldn’;t want to tamper with gods will, therefore the newly wed Neve is truly in god’s hands.
