Tradegy hit the house hold last round, causing the deaths of Vui’s husband and eldest son, i killed them at the end of the round which means loading it up this round means i’m faced with a hole rage of problems.
Firstly it’s a peasant household and although Vui is in a reasonably good job my first task is to work out if she can afford to “keep” this house. The main problem here is that as a peasant family they are not allowed to use the nanny and unfortunately their youngest daughter is still not yet school age which causes some immediate and huge problems.
Vui is at the top of her career earning $1488 per day which means between her and their 3 cats they can easily afford the tax’s so its not an issue of if she can afford their current home which is a good thing.
However for this to happen Vui has to go to work… problem… going to work involves leaving a child at home alone a sure fire way to bring the wrath of the social worker, not good.
Solutions … either Vui leaves her job which frankly seems a bit of a shame considering she’s at the top of the career, or she gets someone to move in to the house who can help her look after the kids as either a house mate or new husband. Looking at this option we need to see “who” is available …the answer no-one!! At least no-one playable, who it’s reasonable to fit in to her house story line wise.
Ok moving on … options – townie .. UGH!!! i moved in a townie to both lynettes and Lucy Carpenters houses as new “partners” for financial reasons and as i don’t mind it as a solution i don’t want it to become my No1 bail out either, so trying to be objective does Vui realistically have much chances of finding a new husband, sadly not.
she’s got 4 children who are going to be around the house for quite some time yet which will undoubtedly put off a prospective suiter, she’s a peasant with only $194 cash in hand, a house that really isn’t upto much and finally she’s not a free peasant which means she belongs to Valdermar, so can’t leave the estate even if she did find someone who wanted her and unfortunately this estate has the highest of all tax rates … not really appealing.
All this sadly means that Vui is left with only one option, quit her job and move into something smaller and even more horrid than the house she already lives in (if its possible, cause she ain’t hardly living in a castle already) And hopefully she can support herself on the pets wages … hmm…. ha and then if things couldn’t get worse i notice that the two original cats are very close to elder, wonderful lifes looking brighter already.
————————————
i noticed that she does actually have 2 silver badges one in fishing and one in gardening back from when she used to live at home with her farmer parents.
So when i move her i decide that logically it makes sense for her to start a small farm, tbh i could use a few more farming family’s and the money from the sale of her current house gave her just enough money to afford a small farm… a VERY small farm.
so moving her out into the new farm i planted crops and I used up all Vui’s Vacation days before i gave up her current job as i figured she could use all the help she could get, besides she’d earned them and then the family started off on their new path as farmers.
Sadly it seems this family is moving backwards not forwards.
