Ok the first thing that struck me was jeeeze those tax’s are high, the next thing that struck me was when the money ($425) came in from the “manager” of the carpenter shop i realised that really considering it’s value it wasn’t paying for it’s self.

So i decided it was time for a re-vamp and mix up, the main problem seemed to be that as a level 10 business it was expensive simply for that reason, in addition it had a large rage of furniture going from the cheap and cheerful peasant items, right up to the extravagant.

Unfortunately what was happening was that rich sim’s like the queen where spending hour’s pouring over if they should or shouldn’t buy that $20 stool when i needed them to be looking at items really worth selling that where going to make the business the money it needed to pay for it’s tax’s.

So the first thing i did was stripped the shop of anything cheap, now if people want to buy anything they have to be willing to spend at least $1000.

Next i decided that the poorer sims really still needed somewhere to buy their lower end items so i had Jonas buy a second shop this one is much smaller and contains lower priced items after all peasants should not be shoping next to royalty.

Now on the days where the “manager” is looking after the main business i have Jonas go and deal with his smaller peasant shop.

So far this all seems to have worked well however next round will be the real test, the value of the main shop has raised quite a bit with the re-introduction of all the fancy expensive items, this round I’ve easier made the money he needs the question is will it cope next round??
