November 9, 2008 at 10:52 am (Kingdom Overview)

Ok so in a recent post i decided that i was going to career cap female sims and since then i have realized that with all the new expansions and career’s i have perhaps it’s time to finally sit down and work out who is allowed what jobs and who is allow to progress how far in these jobs because i haven’t done this since i started back when i just had the basic game and the pet’s expansion.

Ok firstly it’s important to note that rules are indeed made to be broken and if story line etc deems it then sim quite happy breaking any/all of these rules haha.

Secondly it’s worth noting that many of my sims already break these rules especially the “Pay Caps”, what i will do is rather than totally destroying my kingdom and my tax system by on mass lowering everyones wages meaning many people will suddenly not be able to afford the homes they are already in etc.

What i will do instead is use this as a guide for the future, from now on sims wont be able to breach these limits. As for sims who already breach them i will take it very much on a case by case basis as i play the family’s, if i can afford to lower wages of sims without causing them to lose their homes i will do, if i can’t then i’ll leave them as they currently stand, i don’t mind making my sims struggle but tossing the poor little simmie’s out of their homes will just cause chaos as it send’s ripples right the way up though my economy.

However there is a good reason for all these changes, firstly i wanted to make the differences bettween the sex’s alittle bit more real, and secondly i wanted a reason for family’s to fight to send kids to private school / University .. this way family’s really are giving thier sons / daughers a better future be paying the university fee’s.
