Katherine and Fransis had their first child last round a boy they called Bertran, I’ve decided to have this teen couple hold off on having a second child right away, giving them chance to settle into their career’s so have started them off on birth control, sadly this won’t effect them if they “choose” to try for a baby, and with them both being family sims that is quite likely.

I moved Katherine last round from her mundane job to a better job working as the manager of the Darkfire potter shop, she had the required skills having worked for years on her familys farm and farm shop and it seemed like a good move, my no double dip hack prevents her going to work on her turn so she is effectively home full time to look after the baby.

I started the family off with $10,000 of mortgage as they had only recently set up home together and I’ve attempted to pay off most of this as the round has progressed, reducing the family’s bills. Money wise they are steady living modest lives and even though both family pets retired this round they are surviving well.

I didn’t use these animals to breed as their house is too small for multiple pets, and the two they have are a cat and dog which obviously can’t be mated haha, and i when the pets die i plan to take pets from another family perhaps someone who’s recently had a litter they are looking for homes for.

Their house is quite small but its not tiny, Bertran has his own room and there is still the loft space empty for additional children. However it is built on a 1×1 lot so the downstairs which includes the living room, bathroom, kitchen and diner is quite cramped.

Now as I’ve already discussed i plan for Fransis to eventually quit work and start up a tavern on the Darkfire estate, I’ve already built the tavern and depending on how things go over the next few rounds money wise for the family i might choose that to be their next upgrade moving them directly from where they are now into the tavern rather than into a in between home, doing this may mean they stay in there current home longer than i would normally plan while they save up the money. The cost of the tavern including “Unfurnished” is $37,703 so thats quite alot of saving.
