Stephan and Helena are in DEEP DEEP trouble, the long and short is they have more children than they can afford to support.
Gaelen aged to teen this round which means they are now paying adult rate for him. I’ve gotten him a teen job but really it will be 15 (when he ages the independent teen) before he’s paying his own way.
this family have always subsidized themself by doing a little fishing on the side and now is no different it’s just what they have to do for them moment to break even, on the upside all 6 children are now old enough to accompany Stephan to the fishing hole and Gaelen is now old enough to watch the little ones while his parents work so they no-longer have to take it in turn’s to use holidays / bunk off sick to allow them to earn.
The Gothier’s have been put in to the same apartment block as the hiatt’s they have more people to cram into that 2 room hut so as a space saver I’ve opted for double beds, stephan and Helena in the front room, and all the kids in the back.
Long term plan’s for the Gothier’s are somewhat troublesome. Traditionally Gaelen as their oldest son would keep this house, but as Stephan and Helena really don’t seem to have quite given up on this baby thing though. im thinking that maybe Gaelen might be better moving into his own apartment in a few years. So with this in mind im going to start stashing bit’s and bobs in his inventory (and jasper’s for that matter) by way of “savings” if at all possible i may well move both boy’s out at the same time depending on the space situation sometime about 15-18 years old, possibly into an apartment together to begin with.
This said i admit that moving them into a small 2 room hut is making them finding “alone time” difficult so if nothing else thats slowing down the Gothier baby boom. Though as we can see by the following picture, with poor Amanda sleeping in the next bed it isn’t helping as much as I’d like shah.
