Black Furies – Pt 1
The Black furies are the tribe of werewolves which provide the world of the wolf with their equivalent of the Amazonian’s, This tribe originate in Greece and are often dark haired woman of Greece ethnicity.
The Fury’s believe that women have a closer bond with Gia (mother earth) than their male counterparts and this radical idea often has them at odd’s with the males of other tribes however what cannot be denied is that of all tribes the fury’s are the staunch defenders of the wyld.
In many ways they are most isolated of the tribes in a time of male supremacy. They distrust most other tribes and all males however they hold a great deal of contempt for both the Silverfang and get fenris tribes. Considering them nothing more than a bunch of drunken men proclaiming to be in charge.
At the time of Grmstead it was almost unheard of to find a male fury and while some belived this was because fury woman could produce male children others prefer to believe it was because fury’s drowned all male offspring. Either way what is apparent is that males rarely learn much about this somewhat secretive tribe.
Contrary to popular belief This all female tribe are not man hater’s they are merely a group of warewolf woman who believe the wyrm reveal’s its self in the evil of men.
Furies by nature are fierce defenders of the female race and they themselves claim that Luna herself proclaimed them, protectors of the Wyld, defenders of women, and punishers of men and it is this role they uphold with unwavering commitment.
As such they are often drawn to places where men mistreat women so much so that it is often said, where there is injustice to woman there will also be fury’s a fact which made them a particularly interesting if not volatile tribe during medieval times.
The Fury’s totem is that of the Pegasus, the protector of sacred places and respect and while it would be easy to view this tribe as a violent and sexist tribe behind closed door’s the black fury tribe is a tribe with a deep mystical connection with the wyld however this softer side is rarely seen in public and of all tribes they understand better than most how important it is to defend the wyld from the taint of the wyrm at all costs.
Fury’s place a high value honour and they are a highly trustworthy tribe, while they are of often aggressive and argumentative no tribes can deny that they are woman who speak what is on their mind and as such can be trusted.
