This is the first round for this pair as a married couple, marrying Deonte has demoted Brittany and her children to Peasant Class, however at least now she can eat. Deonte is a good provider and came into the marriage with enough cash to settle them into a medium sized apartment with a spare bedroom for future children and enough money to decorate it as well as most merchants and still have $15,000 left over.

Unfortunately as a couple Deonte and Brittany don’t really get along, they have negative chemistry for each other and social interactions are generally reasonably strained, this was very much a marriage of convenience for Brittany and poor Deonte sort of fell down the aisle in love with the concept of being married rather than giving his future partner much thought.

Still for the time being Deonte will continue to be a good provider, providing for Brittany and her children and hopefully having a couple of his own until the story dictates otherwise.

Financially they are stable, as much as Deonte is a good man and will treat the boy’s as his own i doubt private school is on the cards, being peasants Deonte and Brittany’s wages are both capped at a level where a private education for two children is unviable. However goal’s wise i would like to see Deonte buy his way into Merchant class to do this he would need to pay Orrick $50,000 Plus buy himself a house worthy of the class (ie move out of the apartment and into a reasonable sized/decorated home without a mortgage).

This is the last round Brittany will have to fend for herself in the tiny apartment she currently lives in. She’s surviving but thats all it really is being a single parent is tough and a woman without an education is even tougher. she used to be a townie so for game purposes i’m saying she’s public school educated as i can’t imagine the daughter of a baker being warranted anything better, meaning her wage cap is $600 and at the moment she is earning $450 which is the highest she can earn without slipping over that threshold.

As I’ve mentioned before the fact that Christopher Vaux is the father and is still watching out for them is the only thing that stops her slipping into the peasant class for the moment allowing her to still hire a nanny which means she’s surviving, without that ability and 2 small children working could be next to impossible as i have no playable sims in her apartment block and i don’t allow townies to be used for baby sitting.

Next round however she is due to marry Deonte Gawen, Deonte is a soldier but he’s also a peasant meaning Brittany will drop down a class at that point and so will her sons. Is this a bad thing? well yes but in Brittany’s current situation it’s very much the lesser of two evils and will allow her to have a future besides she’s pretty much living as a peasant anyway and Deonte is quite a well off peasant really.

The twins grew up into children this round and have been packed off to school, meaning there apartment is seeming very crampt right now it’s really not designed for family’s haha. She’s no longer in the apartment she was in when i did the Grimstead story line concerning her as she couldn’t keep up with the rent and had to be moved to a smaller one.

Here it is … as you can see its very small and the bathroom facility’s are shared with the other apartments.

Brittany has been ticking along nicely, she has support although it’s fictional support from her family (who don’t actually exist haha) and Christopher the father of the twin’s keep’s an eye on her.

It’s this support that stops Brittany falling from merchant class into Peasant class the way Neve did.

Christopher visit’s occasionally and it occasionally they whoohoo haha, however everytime he comes over i use insiminator briefly to make him “playable” so i can rifle though his backpack of things he’s picked up while shopping and steal an item for britteny to sell haha.

Granted i could create a formal agreement by using money order to pay her but somehow this feels abit more real, he gives her what he can when he’s got it and his father won’t notice. This round however all he had in his bag was a crate of eggplant, so i took that and instead of selling it i stocked her fridge.

She employ’s a nanny so she can work however having started as a townie with zero skill’s her career progression is fairly slow, i don’t allow my sims to skill too quickly as i want progression to be a long term goal and when you play 20days per round it would be very easy to max someones career within a matter of 2-3 rounds if you didn’t control it.

Money wise britteny struggles, she’s lucky that she’s on one of the cheaper estates however as Orrick has no idea that the twins are his grandsons she is tax’ed normally, but she is making steady progress and seems to be in a better position at the end of each round.

This round however has sent her for abit of a loop the twins have aged to toddler and with that came a reel of expense, however she managed to pull though it and still keep up with the tax’s.

She took one of Hayden Huntsman’s new puppy’s off him, and by the end of the round it had grown up and had been given the service pet job which helped with the money situation.

I used money hack and some fiddling to promote this townie to the rank of playable, and giving her $7000 a gift from Christopher to set up a house.

Brittney got pregnant to Christopher Vaux back end of last round, i used dice to determine her pregnancy chances as you can’t normally get a townie pregnant.

Brittney is merchant class and suprise follows the bakers career path, she didn’t have a job or money when she became a playable so she’s literally having to start from scratch. I’m hoping eventually to be able to open a bakery with this character selling food much like Falcon Talon does, however right now she doesn’t have the money.

She gave birth mid way though the round and Christopher’s has come up trumps again, this is his second set of twin’s lol and he’s not even married yet (he was also the father of Marisa’s baby’s if you remember … Pagan and Acker who are currently having a very busy time at the monastery.)

This time to twin boys (i seem to be having abit of a rush of twins atm) which im very pleased with, she’s merchant class so she can employ a nanny and continue to work.

Twin boys means i get two boys to start a new family name which is great. One of the main problems with starting a kingdom with limited familys after a while you have dozens of familys all with the same surname and only boys get to keep their name.

Brittney surename was originally Fuchs but that names suck’s so i changed it in SimPe to something more suitable, i decided on Baker because merchants often used their trade as their surname. If Brittney had married the boy’s would have gotten Christopher’s name but as they are illegitimate Baker it is…. yippe.

When i decide to turn a townie into a playable i often play where their DNA abit, that way i can mix in some gene’s eye colour / hair colour i might be lacking in the game, Brittney was no different and one of the boy’s got her recessive eye colour, which is a colour im very fond of but only Daisy Farmer has currently, making me even happier with the results of her pregnancy.

Long term i have no real plan’s for Brittney, she’s now in the available pool for any of my Grimstead boy’s … roughly her age and single i have Phoenix (Lucy Shaw’s servant) and Deonte Gawen .. but i already have plans for him. Going up in age there is also the recently widowed Falcon but im certainly not looking at that possibility any time soon.

However over the mountains in Darkfire there is Edmund, Fransis and Calin, whome i was having difficulty’s matching… suddenly a whole world of possibility’s opens up.
