Mirrella one of my founding sims aged to elder this round and promptly died, aging to elder always means my death calc takes a peculiarly harsh look at the sim so i guess i shouldn’t be surprised. In a way im kinda of glad the household was getting pretty crowded and Mirrella served very little purpose storyline or game wise.

However it leaves me with some things to think about, Ailana is Peters youngest sister and still remains in the house, and to be honest i think Peter would look to get rid of her as soon as possible as a drain on the resources, although she’s still only 10 i doubt very much Peter would wait till she was old enough to marry to start looking at the options as Peter takes after Aldun in more ways than one.

Looking towards the mountains i look at marriage options, Peter is however like his father a proud man and although there are a number of peasant boys without wives i doubt Peter would allow such a low class matching for his sister, not because he cares for her, but simply because pride and social etiquette won’t let him.

Looking towards Grimstead, the only noble/royal options are Locan Beaumont and Daniel Silverhand however locan is out because they are cousins and i plan to marry Daniel to Sophie another of peters sisters so thats out too.

Looking down the class’s i consider merchant, this is the lowest class Peter can dare to consider and even then it would have to be a university educated merchant.

The only single boys a suitable age are Hayden (age 25), who lost his wife Ailth this round, Faron Carpenter(age 13) and Farid Talon (age 11), now Hayden is a good option that would give him 2 years of mourning time before Ailana is old enough to marry.

Faron is also a possibility if i get him to university, i did always plan to send him but money has been looking tight in the carpenter household and im not sure they can afford it, and lastly Farid is a definite no-go as there is no chance of Falcon affording university for his son.

Other options include, Having Ailana become a lady in waiting to one of the noble houses, including Peters own as Brianna doesn’t yet have one, or sending Ailana to become a nun in the monastery.

Having her become Brianna’s lady in waiting seems to be my most attractive option at the moment, she could live in the servants quarters of the house, meaning i could send Amaya away to live with Kendra Harper in the Servants halls of the castle giving me a stronger base of “servant class” sims for Darkfire mountains.

As always however I’m considering “bays and population expansion” and considering Peter is currently having an affair with his maid i think i might just wait till the inevitable happens and she falls pregnant before sending her away.

Its also worth noting that because Darkfire castle is made up of many lots the “servant class sims” living in the servants wing of the castle are still considered household staff and i often summon them in to help with the cleaning etc so Amaya storyline wise is still in the castle and still available to Peter if he wants her.

Well the round continued, and it was while i was running the two shops i had an idea concerning staff, Katherine Gawen Franisis’s new wife would make a perfect member of staff it would save her the hassle of trying to build up skills in a career and she already has badges from working on her parents farm which means it shouldn’t be to hard to make her manager.

Sure enough upon hiring her i find she already qualify’s and is promoted to manager immediately leaving Peter with only one shop to run full time himself.

Brianna caught Peter cheating again this round, no suprise there really if happens quite frequently, sadly women in medieval times had little power to prevent a straying husband its not as if she could walk out and as predicted the maid got pregnant which tbh was a little over due. so at the end of the round she was sent off to join Kendra Harper in the servants quarter of the castle to await giving birth next round.
